How does content get selected for the homepage featured article?
Each iConnect-Online group is supported by content managers. The content managers review the content shared on the group and, based on the relevancy of what is shared, may decide to feature it prominently on the home page. Content is more likely to be chosen to be featured if it is well written and is supported visually with relevant photos, links, videos, etc. Of course, copyright that applies to the content you share on iConnect-Online must always be respected.
How can I add content?
In order to add content, you need to become a member. Non-members are not allowed to add or comment on content. Once you are logged in, please go to the
resource section and select the type of content you would like to add. You may then give it a name, a description and upload the resource or type the text. There are tutorials available describing
how to add different content types.
Can I post a job opportunity?
Sure. While iConnect-Online is not a job search site, you are welcome to share job opportunities as long as they are ICT for Development related. You can post it as a blog post blog, as a Twitter status update if you have linked your Twitter account with iConnect-Online, as a status message on your profile page, or any other place you find relevant.
Who monitors inappropriate or offensive content?
Group managers will monitor for inappropriate or offensive content. But support in this from all members is appreciated. Everyone can report concerns, inappropriate or offensive content as well as user behaviour by clicking the
