Do you happen to know a free and open source framework to be used in computer based training, with some of the following functionalities?
- Both online or offline usage.
- You can add new training modules easily (like on a zip file or similar).
- Possibility to include interactive learning through quizzes, videos, etc.
- SCORM compliant (for later integration with LMS, such as Moodle).
- The framework can track my progress on individual modules.
For instance, one could use eXeLearning to produce the modules so what I'm looking for is the framework that would make use of the modules created.
On another note, and just to ilustrate other options that I might not have envisaged yet, yesterday I bumped into a customised version of ODK, eMOCHA, developed and used by the Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education which includes a client/server framework for data collection AND training delivery. Also planning to test in the coming days.
Suggestions, ideas..? I would keep you posted if I make some progress on the research and testing.
Cheers,
Gaël
