Traditional communication channels have over the years proved very effective and sustainable among the local populations of Eastern and Southern Africa. These channels have been in the domain of both women and man folk of almost the same social status and now the ICT seems to give liu way to the economicaly and educationally empowered section of the societies. This has a bearing on the acquisition and utilization of ICT, since it will be looked at as for elite society that unfortunately do not some time share in common. More studies need to be done on this topic and hope this can provoke debate on how we can make ICT reach to every individual without social barriers.
