Welcome and Introductions

Dear Everyone, may I take this opportunity to officially welcome all of you to this online space. It’s always a nice feeling to be part of large learning community and the prospect of learning from the vast experiences is simply delightful. I hope many if not all of you are ready to join me and many others in what promises to be a memorable learning experience. To begin with I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Yese Williams Bwalya (prefer to be called simply Yese). Together with Theresa, I will be facilitating the CCLE. I am hugely encouraged by the vibrancy in the group; it all seems like a done deal.

Just a bit about me. I am middle aged male Zambian, married with two beautiful kids. To be honest I have never known how to describe myself more accurately but my critics say am handsome. Ye! I work and live in Zambia. This means I will be playing another unofficial role as host.

In less than two weeks we meet here in Zambia for CCLE for some exciting face-to face interactions but before that I would like us to use this opportunity to set the scene by getting to know each other a little bit. So may I invite everyone to introduce yourselves to the group. We all like to know more about each other so please feel free to say anything that will make it easy for us to create a perfect image of you; it’s a virtual possibility. Later in the week I will would like us to learn from each other about what we are doing in our respective fields and begin to get our personal views on some common topics. So please stay and online.

Look forward to seeing you in just under a week.
