IT company Dell is requesting university students all over the world to submit their innovative ideas and projects to address social problems in their Social Innovation Challenge. There are two types of awards: People's Choice Awards ($1,000 cash prize) and the Grand Prize Award (5 cash prizes totalling $100,000).
The closing date for the Grand Prize is coming up soon on Feb 13th, so hurry if you want to submit your idea!

Students in Africa, Latin America and Asia, we at iConnect-Online are sure you have great ideas on how to (use ICT to) solve real problems in the regions where you live, this challenge might be an opportunity to receive (financial) support.
The website for the challenge is: http://www.dellchallenge.org/

This is what Dell says the competition is all about:
"The Dell Social Innovation Challenge identifies and supports promising young social innovators who dedicate themselves to solving the world's most pressing problems with their transformative ideas. We provide university students with world-class teaching and training, as well as with start-up capital and access to a network of mentors and advisors."
